AGN ENERGIA, a leading company in the Italian liquefied fuel gas market, and Nippon Gases, a company belonging to the Nippon Gases Europe Group, announce the signing of an agreement for the sale to Nippon Gases Industrial S.r.l. of the business unit of AGN ENERGIA S.p.A. relating to the marketing of technical and industrial gases.
The formal agreement was signed on 27 October 2025 and will take effect as of today.
AGN ENERGIA's decision is part of a broader strategic evolution in the energy market, aimed at consolidating and focusing the company's core activities. With this transaction, AGN ENERGIA intends to strengthen its position in key energy sectors – LPG and LNG, electricity and natural gas, including through production from renewable sources and energy efficiency solutions – while Nippon Gases further consolidates its presence in the Italian technical and industrial gas market in the north-east of the country. Thanks to this strategic operation, Nippon Gases will be able to offer an even more widespread and responsive service, in line with the expectations of its industrial partners.
Starting today, Nippon Gases Industrial will take over the existing contractual relationships with customers of the divested branch, ensuring operational and commercial continuity.
The two companies confirm their shared commitment to ensuring a smooth and transparent transition, respecting the needs of customers and business partners.
