Industrial gases for wastewater treatment.

The application of CO₂ and O₂ in the wastewater treatment plant allows for a highly efficient and safe biological process

CO₂ is used for pH control in mills where alkaline effluents replace strong acids. CO₂ provides better control of the increase as well as the efficiency of the treatment plant allowing a higher BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand) removal during the secondary treatment of the effluent.

The use of O₂in aerobic biological treatment increases the capacity of the plant with low power consumption, mainly for high temperature effluents.
