Nitrogen for oil and gas industry

Nitrogen

Nitrogen can be used for inerting of new, repaired, or modified tanks, pipelines or vessels.

As pressurised gas, it is perfect to transfer toxic fluids, flammable materials, and materials with a high probability of becoming corrosive when in contact with humidity. As cryogenic liquid, it can be used with cryogenic recovery equipment to remove and recover volatile organic contaminants from the process flow.

Liquid nitrogen (or liquid carbon dioxide) can be applied to freeze a section of the content of a pipeline. This process allows works on the pipeline, such as valve repair.
