Hydrogen's role in TIG and MAG welding of austenitic steels
The ISO 9606-1 standard, implemented in 2013, established comprehensive requirements for welder certification. This standard introduced and validated the concept of reducing mixtures in welding processes. For TIG and MAG welding of austenitic steels, this development has significant implications, particularly regarding hydrogen in shielding gas mixtures.

Gases we use
Since the 70s, welding gases have started an evolution that has accompanied the growth of welding machines, influencing and increasing the processes.
Argon for Additive manufacturing
Thanks to its chemical-physical characteristics, it is the most used gas for all additive manufacturing processes, mostly for those materials that are particularly reactive with oxygen or other air components.
Nitrogen fo Additive manufacturing
Under normal conditions nitrogen is an inert gas but which at high temperatures can react with some materials also used in 3D printing. The use of nitrogen in this process is indicated for austenitic steel powders.
