Nippon Gases has been awarded the gold medal in the EcoVadis sustainability ranking in recognition of its sustainability efforts – for the second consecutive year.

Nippon Gases, the European company of Nippon Sanso Holdings Corporation, has been awarded the gold medal in the EcoVadis sustainability ranking in recognition of its sustainability efforts – for the second consecutive year.

This Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) ranking evaluates the company's performance in four key areas: Environment, Ethics, Human and Labour Rights, and Sustainable Procurement.

During this fiscal year, the company's efforts have led to an increase in performance scores in some of the evaluated areas-  such as Labour & Human Rights and Sustainable Procurement, placing Nippon Gases in the top 2% of companies in its industry category with an overall score of 74 points.

This achievement is the result of the company's commitment to take actions that have a beneficial effect in areas such as climate change, inclusion and diversity, employee health and safety - Nippon Gases' number 1 priority -, as well as other aspects such as ethics and human rights.

“A gold medal in such a well-known and prestigious ranking is an external recognition to our efforts and also responds to a need that was increasingly being requested by our stakeholders: proof our commitment to sustainability and that we dedicate our efforts on making  life better through gas technology”, says Joaquin González-Blas, Energy & Sustainability Director Europe.

Having this gold status for the second time validates, once again, Nippon Gases' sustainability and corporate responsibility commitment. We will keep improving and working on contributing to a more sustainable future.
