The initiative significantly reduces the company's CO2 emissions, representing a further step towards a more sustainable future.
Nippon Gases Iberia, a leader in the production and sale of industrial gases, is pleased to announce its new project to install solar panels at its main compressed gas production centres. This project is one of many being carried out by the Nippon Gases group as part of its commitment to sustainability.

At the facilities in Córdoba, Madrid, Valencia and Murcia, solar panels are being installed to generate renewable energy from the sunlight they receive. The system significantly reduces CO2 emissions along with other projects that Nippon Gases Iberia is working on, such as reducing energy intensity in gas production plants, increasing efficiency in the transport of tanker trucks and expanding the use of this renewable energy.

These actions represent a reduction in emissions of 250 tonnes of CO2 per year, a figure that shows the company's firm commitment against global warming, which will continue to work to install more photovoltaic production capacity in the group.

Nippon Gases continues its search for opportunities and the development of sustainable projects and technologies, such as solutions for upgrading biogas to biomethane and oxyfuel with hybrid hydrogen burners, among others, that contribute to accelerating the transition to climate neutrality.
