As part of our commitment to sustainability, Nippon Sanso Holdings Corporation (hereafter “NSHD”) - our parent company based in Japan - and Nippon Gases have joined the United Nations Global Compact initiative (hereafter “UNGC”).
Both the global group and its European company registered as members in January 2022, at which time NSHD also joined the Global Compact Network Japan. |
1. What is the UN Global Compact?
UNGC is a voluntary effort by companies and organisations to act as good members of society and participate in the creation of a global framework for sustainable growth by demonstrating responsible and creative leadership. Companies and organisations that have signed the UNGC are required to adhere to and practice ten principles related to the four areas of human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption in developing their corporate strategies and activities.
By signing the UNGC, we clearly express our corporate stance and will further promote initiatives to contribute to a sustainable society based on our Group Vision: “We aim to create social value through innovative gas solutions that increase industrial productivity, enhance human well-being and contribute to a more sustainable future”.
