Nippon Gases is "Top Supplier 2020"

We made it! We are the best supplier 2020 in the category "Invest". The award of the Prospitalia Group, a purchasing service provider for hospitals and other medical facilities, is based on fixed criteria. These include cost-effectiveness, security of supply, product quality, service and communication. For the first time, we as Nippon Gases Germany have been recognized for our achievements - as "Supplier of the year 2020 - Invest". 

"Safety and sustainability, service and quality - we act according to these criteria," says Jörg Schermer, Business Manager Medical Nippon Gases Deutschland GmbH. "That's why we are particularly pleased to receive the 'Supplier of the year' award from the Prospitalia Group, which recognizes our performance and corporate values." Nippon Gases stands for sustainability, efficient use of resources, and partnership. This is what connects us with the Prospitalia Group. Through the purchasing service provider, we supply numerous municipal and university hospitals in Germany - primarily with medical oxygen, various technical and food gases, and the various Plug&Breathe® supply solutions. 

"Reliable even during the pandemic"
Especially in spring 2020, at the beginning of the Corona pandemic, there was a high demand for medical oxygen as well as other medical gases. "As usual, we were a reliable partner at all times," explains Jörg Schermer proudly. "The basis for this, in addition to the high personal commitment of our employees from all customer-related divisions, was, among other things, a comprehensive hygiene concept that we implemented in our filling facilities. The drivers of our trucks were also immediately equipped with protective items such as masks and disinfectant sprays. In addition, in most cases the cylinder exchange is contactless. This means that the drivers do it completely autonomously, without direct contact with the customer. Of course, that also reduces potential risks."

With Plug&Breathe®, the focus is on patient care
We have developed our own Plug&Breathe solution for medical care. It is used in hospital wards, in the operating room, for transporting patients, and in rescue services. Thanks to an integrated pressure regulator, the bottle systems are easy to handle, which means that the focus can be entirely on patient care. With the Plug&Breathe 300, there is a special variant: the gases in this system are compressed to 300 bar, so that each bottle has more capacity for the same size.

First place for Nippon Gases in Prospitalia supplier rating
Each year, Prospitalia evaluates all suppliers on the basis of defined criteria - these include cost-effectiveness, security of supply, product quality, service and communication. For this purpose, the affiliated acute care clinics assess the suppliers' performance. Prospitalia's best 50 suppliers from the pharmaceutical and medical equipment sectors and, new this year, from the capital goods sector are assessed. Together, these areas represent over 85 percent of Prospitalia's procurement volume. Supplier evaluation is thus one of the largest quality management tools in the German healthcare sector. For 2020, we made it to first place in the "capital goods" category and naturally want to defend this position this year.
