    Start of industrial gases activities.

    Acquisition of local industrial gases supplier, cylinder gases market entry.
  • 2004
    Acquisition of comprehensive industrial gases business in Germany incl. pipeline operations.
  • 2015
    Extension of pipeline “Rhein-Enclave”.
  • 2016
    Acquisition of European CO2 operations, incl. business in Germany.
  • 2018
    Taiyo Nippon Sanso acquires Praxair in Europe, creating Nippon Gases.
  • 2020
    October 1st

    The Nippon Sanso Holding Corporation was launched to start the transition to a global holding company structure.

The Hürth

 

The Hürth air separation unit is Nippon Gases Europe largest single production unit.

 

It supplies nitrogen to various chemical customers in the closer neighborhood for whom the gas serves as safety medium in many of their production processes. It also produces oxygen e. g. for the medical gas used by hospitals and other medical institutions and Argon for various applications such as welding or metal production. The plant is also home to a large filling station for all kind of industrial gases.
