Heat transfer fluids

Ethylene glycol and propylene glycol

Heat transfer fluids are used in large refrigeration systems, when it is necessary to reduce the amount of refrigerant gas to be used in the system, or when using potentially dangerous gases (Ammonia, Hydrocarbons, etc.) to maintain the circuit containing the gas refrigerant away from areas open to the public.

Corrosion inhibitors are added to the glycol, to prevent the corrosion of the metals that the glycol solution will come in contact with.
Inhibitors reduce acidity formation in the circuit, thus extending hardware life and reducing maintenance costs. Plant operation become safer and more reliable.

Nippon Gases Refrigerants offers

– Inhibited ethylene glycol

– Inhibited propylene glycol

– Dowcal N: inhibited propylene glycol using inhibitors certified for alimentary use.
