Pure methane
Our methane purification plant is the only source of pure methane available on the European territory.
Methane purification plant
Designed and sized to meet the growing demand for Pure methane Certified at a global level, the plant is able to produce, on continuous cycle, any degree of purity, up to grade 6.0 (equivalent to a purity > 99.9999%).
The methane purification plant is consisting of a series of activated carbon units and molecular sieves capable of retaining level preliminary sulfur compounds, humidity and CO2 contained in the methane network, as a source of power supply to the system.
Subsequently the Methane, through a double cryogenic fractionation column, undergoes a further purification process in order to remove the non-condensable gases present (above all Nitrogen) and residual hydrocarbons such as Ethane, Propane, etc. Once the Methane purification process is complete, it is gasified through air exchangers, after the completion of the cycle, compressed in cylinders and packages in the desired purity.
