Nippon Gases, the European subsidiary of Nippon Sanso Holdings Corporation, announces that, starting April 1st 2026, the company will operate under the name Nippon Sanso. This strategic transformation marks a significant milestone in our journey toward global unity, brand clarity, and sustainable growth. Our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction remains unchanged.
A Unified Global Identity
This collective decision has been made to unify the businesses (except the THERMOS business) under a globally-recognised brand: Nippon Sanso. This cements the group’s commitment to operating cohesively across more than 30 countries, enhancing collaboration, innovation, and global recognition.

Why Nippon Sanso?
The name Nippon Sanso carries deep historical and cultural significance. Founded in 1910, Nippon Sanso has a legacy spanning more than 115 years in pioneering gas technologies that enhance industrial productivity and human well-being. “Nippon” (日本) continues our Japanese identity as a company, and transitioning to “Sanso” (酸素), which translates to “oxygen” in Japanese, symbolising life and energy, represents the very essence of our company’s mission. This transition to a new name marks a meaningful evolution in our identity.
As we enter this new chapter, our name and logo will evolve—but everything that defines us remains: our values, our people, and our commitment to delivering safe, innovative, and sustainable gas solutions across Europe. We are locally rooted and globally united.
