Gender diversity

Female talent for a stronger industry

We support your industrial career.

At Nippon Gases we are committed in supporting female employees in the industrial environment by giving them professional opportunities during their career.

26%
of our women employees work in specialist and managerial positions
27%
of our employees (all categories) today are women
40%
of employees promoted in 2019 were women
Women in STEM studies
STEM studies are less and less chosen by young people. In the case of women, they generally have fewer opportunities in industrial environments.
At Nippon Gases, we do not see any job or industry has a defined gender, which is why we strive to promote STEM studies among women and help them continue to grow professionally.
We want to make the presence of women visible and normalised in our Industrial facilities, in our customers' plants and in other positions close to the industrial environment.

Our actions
We are continually striving to promote diversity, especially among women and young employees.
In every process involving employees, like hiring, developing or identifying talent, our priority is to take objective decisions removing biases and increasing the visibility of our female population.

Programs and trainings
We have started different trainings and programs as the Sponsoring program with female professionals. This program offers woman in our company visibility opportunities.
Associations and internships
We partner with associations and universities that promote STEM careers among young female students and that support female engineers. We also hire interns in our organization, as hiring female professionals at early stages of their career in our industry will increase the pipeline of female professionals.
