to phase 2 at Laxey

Nippon Gases Norway will provide oxygen dissolvers for Laxey’s 36,000 tonne a year fish farm.

Icelandic Laxey once again chooses Nippon Gases Norway to deliver a significant number of new In-Line 630 oxygen dissolvers to phase 2 at Laxey.

Nippon Gases in Norway, part of the European company of Nippon Sanso Holdings Corporation, signed an agreement in 2024 to supply several oxygen dissolvers to Icelandic Laxey.

Laxey, a company that develops land-based salmon farming in Vestmannaeyjar, Iceland, aims to build a 36,000 tonne a year fish farm for salmon in a flow-through system.

"Laxey has decided to choose Nippon Gases’ in-line oxygenators for its grow out facility based on strong references and experience of the equipment. The equipment provides high quality oxygenation at a low energy cost helping to provide a safe environment for our salmon for years to come", says Hallgrímur Steinsson CTO/COO of Laxey.
