Nippon Gases UK Ltd Receives Two International Safety Awards

Nippon Gases has been presented with two International Safety Awards for protecting its employees from the risk of injury and ill health at work

Nippon Gases UK Ltd, Wilton and Nippon Gases Offshore, Dyce have won International Safety Awards from the British Safety Council in recognition of their commitment to keeping workers and workplaces healthy and safe during the 2023 calendar year.      

 

Nippon Gases UK Ltd, Wilton and Nippon Gases Offshore, Dyce are two of 269 organisations to win a Distinction in the International Safety Awards 2024.

 

Now in their 66th year, the International Safety Awards recognise and celebrate organisations from around the world which have demonstrated to the satisfaction of the scheme’s independent judges their commitment to preventing workplace injuries and work-related ill health during the previous calendar year. The awards also acknowledge organisations that have shown commitment to well-being and mental health at work.  

 

In 2024, 1,124 organisations won an International Safety Award. They span all sectors with significant representation from the construction, manufacturing, oil, gas, mining, power and utility sectors. Winners were drawn from 49 countries worldwide. 269 organisations were awarded a Distinction, 436 organisations were awarded a Merit and 399 organisations achieved a Pass.

 

Mike Robinson, Chief Executive of British Safety Council, congratulated Nippon Gases on its success in winning an International Safety Award 2024 with a Distinction for two of its sites.
